The previous version of the WS-Slideshow was already developed in 2006 as an image gallery for the NorthClick content management system based on Flash 7. This image gallery and the new WS-Slideshow are already used for the awesome Jimdo website creation tool called "Pages to the People" as well and it has reached thousands of users.
WS-Slideshow combines these experiences with powerful features of Adobes Flash Version 9: More features, more performance and more security.
It runs on any platforms such as Windows, OS X and Linux as well as within any Browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari or Opera. The Adobe Flash Player version 9 is available on over 97.2% of Internet-enabled desktops (Resource: Adobe Flash Player Version Penetration - March 2008).
That means that the WS-Slideshow is for everyone!
The Flash based WS-Slideshow was developed by Jens Krause, who is a freelance Flash and Flex Developer living in Hamburg (Germany). The code behind this application has been written in ActionScript 3, is well structured and based on well known design patterns using the PureMVC-Framework.
